April 24, 2011 changed our lives forever. On this Easter morning, we welcomed Brianna Robyn into the world. After weeks of bed rest and being in miserable pain, my precious baby girl had finally arrived. It was hard to believe that day happened six months ago. Bri has brought so much joy into our lives and I couldn't imagine our family without her.
Yesterday evening we celebrated her half birthday with a little party. During naptime I made her a cake. It didn't look the greatest but it was pretty good!
The best part of the party may have been us singing happy birthday to Bri. Daddy and I sang our little hearts out and Eli (who doesnt talk real well, lol) sang his heart out too. It was so cute. He had the tune right but we couldn't understand a word he said. It was hard not to laugh but he was so serious and proud that he was singing to his little sister. Then of course when we were finished he clapped :)
Bri even had her first taste of cake icing. Although she didn't get a lot she smacked her lips and really enjoyed it.
Where does time go? Seems like it was just yesterday when I was holding her for the first time and now she's learning how to sit up, play with toys and do all kinds of other things. They really grow up way too fast. Happy half birthday Bri-Bri!
